K. Hariharan is an Indian film director, scholar and educator. His films have won awards and screened at festivals the world over. He has served on several film festival juries such as Warsaw Film Festival, Tallinn International Film Festival, IFFK Trivandrum, Indian National Film Awards. He is also a visiting faculty at FTII and the universities of Pennsylvania and Miami. He is a former director of L. V. Prasad Film and TV Academy, Chennai and the dean at Mahindra Ecole Centrale, Hyderabad.

A talk on the unique working dynamics bwteen choreographers and filmmakers. Gilda Stillbäck is a choreographer/director, dancer and actress working between Gothenburg, Sweden and Paris. She is creating stage art and experimental dance/art films produced by the production house Possibilitas. As a dancer she has been working at institutions such as The Gothenburg opera, Sweden and Palais de Tokyo in Paris. As an actress she is working both on stage and with film and TV. Kelly is a co-founder of the Dance Camera West Festival in LA (2001), and has been an honorary board member of the Dance on Camera Festival in New York. Kelly is a graduate of University of Windsor’s renowned Communications program, and holds a Masters in Dance Film Theory for New York University’s Gallatin School. She has made several dance films that have been shown throughout the world. The most recent is CARGO, which is available on DVD. She has travelled internationally, lecturing and presenting programs of dance films and teaching marketing and publicity to dance film makers.

Andrea is a maker with a strong connection to the kinetic and sensorial, cherishing the poetic power of the human body and movement. This sensorial perception influences her interaction with the world and her work. INTERPLAY offers the space to playfully challenge and surprise ourselves. The training combines somatic work, guided exploration of proposed principles and equally, set material; the training generally dives into and harvests the organic and fluid power of the body – using weight, momentum and breath. Finding our power in organic pathways, a natural interplay of forces and the fluidity of the body.

Deeply rooted in Indian martial arts, Abhilash has two decades of experience in teaching and performing on the international stage. Leader of programs like PLAY PRACTISE APPRENTICESHIP and INDIA CONTACT FESTIVAL, he has studied dance (PG) in SEAD (Salzburg) and APAAS (Belgium).

Aakriti Dhiman is a multi-disciplinary artist and Dance Movement Therapy Practitioner. She holds a Master's degree in Photography Design from NID and has trained in Dance Movement Therapy with TISS and Kolkata Sanved. She informs her practice by utilizing the therapeutic properties of various art forms, particularly through community co-creation and collaboration. Channel the dancer within you that manifests behind closed doors or the kid who didn’t listen to their inhibitions. Let your inner child know it can be free here. Through this workshop, we will foster a deeper connection with our bodies as we listen to how they want to move without focusing on aesthetics. The workshop will conclude with a collaborative image-making exercise capturing the essence of your movement expression.
